FISTFULAYENEmbarrassed by Consumerism?
I was giving a Topspin demo to some rock stars (of sorts) today and got called out: “Someone wants a Bad Brains t-shirt.” Of course I do, who doesn’t, but how did he know I’d just been searching for one? Did I leave the window open? No, worse, the words were still in my Firefox search box.
I was embarrassed. Not sure why, but I was.
Anyway, I was searching for it after being inspired by this post. Which was inspired by this post. The blog circle.
FWIW, I think I’ll get one of these.

It is a firefox extension that (among other things) clear your search box after you press enter, very handy.

It’s funny though thinking back on it how sometimes I get somewhat embarrassed when buying a tour T… or even when wearing one. I dont think consumerism is something to be embarrased about. I think it is the posers, who buy the shirts and when asked “OH, you are a Bad Brains fan, what is your favorite track”, who should be embarrased.
